Joy Ann Jones, 85, of Wooster, died Saturday October 25, 2014 at Shady Lawn Health Care.
She was born January 5, 1929 in Zanesville to Hobart M. and Margaret Peg H. Campbell Henery. On May 27, 1949 she married Elwood E. Wimp Jones at Central Christian Church on Buckeye St. by Rev. Robert Tuck. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Joy had worked for the William Annet Co., Drs. Shultz and Mathur and for F.J. Designs Cat s Meow. She was a member of Central Christian Church and of the Wooster High School All Sports Hall of Fame.
She is survived by her sons Terry E. (Janet), Gary L. (Lori), Tim L. (Annie), and James P. (Diane); 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a sister Pat Sauder.
Along with her husband, Joy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Richard Henery.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday October 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Wooster Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster is assisting the family.
