SMITHVILLE “ James J. Perret, 88, of Smithville passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born April 20, 1926 in Rittman, the son of Henry and Mabel Drushal Perret.   He married Eleanor M. Irvin on June 26, 1955.   She preceded him in death on August 30, 2005.
He had been an interior designer for over 50 years retiring in 2000.   Jim was a member of the Central Christian Church in Wooster and a member of the Smithville Ruritan ™s.
He enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, raising Welsh ponies, shopping and going out to eat with family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Margaret (Greg Zellars) Welty of Wooster and James A. Perret of Whitman, Mass; a granddaughter Jessica Perret Welty; a brother Tom (Arlene) Perret and a sister Gloria Mackey both of Wooster.
In addition to his wife, Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Fetter.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 6-8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service at the Church on Monday.
Services will be held Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Christian Church, 407 N. Market St., Wooster with the Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating.   Burial will be in the Smithville Cemetery.
