WOOSTER – Robert J RUMBAUGH, 83, of Wooster, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born December 6, 1931 in Holmesville, the son of Ernest Ray and Ida E Siegenthaler Rumbaugh. He married Katie Schrock on June 6, 1964 in the Holmesville Federated Church. She preceded him in death on October 6, 2006.
ã He graduated from Holmesville High School and retired from the Timken Company on January 1, 1992 after over 25 years of employment. He became a state certified Emergency Medical Technician in 1974. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge. Robert had previously resided in Holmesville, Killbuck and Sun City, Ariz.
Surviving are his caregivers and cousin, Jay (Sue) Rumbaugh of Wooster, a niece, Denise E. Miller (Mark) Diamond of Chesterfield, VA and a nephew, Duane Robert (Tanya Weaver) Miller of Middlebury, Indiana.
In addition to his wife, Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helen Rumbaugh Miller.
There will be no calling hours and private family services will be held.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
