WOOSTER “ Duane W. Conklin, 85, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at his home.
He was born September 1, 1929 in Fremont, Ohio, the son of Walter P. and Leone Bauer Conklin.   He married Marilyn Abel on February 5, 1955.   She survives.
He retired in 1993 as a Tool and Die maker for Chrysler Corp in Perrysburg after 24 years of employment.   He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.   Duane enjoyed coin collecting and loved music
He proudly served his country with the US. Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Nadine (Jeff) Seemann of Sylvania, OH, Wendy Katsiagianis of Chapel Hill, NC, Michelle (Dale) Schenian of Burbank, Jeff Conklin of Toledo and Bill Conklin of Morristown, TN; grandchildren, Kelly, Mike, Erin, Dan and John Seemann, Ntinos Katsiagianis, Sarah Sawyer, Jacob Corrigan, Aja, Tori and Mariah Wright, Sydney, Macy and Drew Conklin; 4 great-grandchildren and a brother, Gary (Irene) Conklin of Toledo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Nadine Conklin and Jeanne Stark and a son-in-law, Chris Katsiagianis.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster from 5-7:00 p.m.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Tobias officiating.
A memorial mass will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 9:30 a.m at St. Pius X, 3011 Carskaddon Ave., Toledo, OH 43606.
