WOOSTER “ Joseph Jacob of Wooster died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Smithville Western Care Center, Wooster.   Death came as the result of injuries sustained in a fall aboard a cruise ship on March 28, 2015.
Joe was born September 19, 1919 as the eldest son of Atullah and Barbara Jacob in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was a retired insurance executive having been the owner of Harding and Jacob Insurance Agency in Cleveland, Bay Village and Westlake.   He was a former president of General Metals Technologies in Reston, VA  
Having moved to Wooster, Joe was founder, president and CEO of a medical and pharmaceutical research company called Technology Unlimited, Inc.
In that capacity, he obtained many patents for inventions which were, in his words, œfor benefit of mankind , Joe leaves a legacy of endeavors ranging from business and finance to philosophy and medicine.   He was active in community projects and for a time served as Director of the Greater Wayne County Foundation.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Helen, and two daughters, Judithe (Chuck) Craig of Wooster and Linda Horn of Thailand and a granddaughter, April (Eivind) Almaas of Norway.
There will be a private ceremony in the Memorial Garden at First Presbyterian Church of Wooster with a public memorial service at a later date.
