WOOSTER Faith Hoover, 68, of Wooster died at her home on Saturday, May 16, 2015 after a long and happy life, well taken care of by family and caretakers.
She was born December 7, 1946, in Wooster, the daughter of the late Shannon and Marjorie (Finley) Hoover. She lived at home with her parents until May of 1990 when she moved to the Friendsville Residential Home which was founded by the families of the six initial residents.
Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Marsha and Steven Silverman of Worcester, MA; her nephew, Jonathan Silverman of Berlin, Germany; her niece, Stephanie Silverman of San Francisco, CA; seven cousins and many friends from the Friendsville Residential Home and Nick Amster Workshop.
During her lifetime, Faith enjoyed bowling, watching Leave It To Beaver, coloring, and participating in the Special Olympics. She loved babies, animals, and had a special fascination with watches. Her purse overflowed with them. Faith attended the Nick Amster Workshop from 1969 until the present.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev. Charles Tobias officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Shreve. There will be no calling hours.
