WOOSTER – James B VAN LIEU, 83, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at his home.
He was born October 20, 1931 in Wooster, the son of Edward and Marcella Bresson Van Lieu.   He married Phyllis Jean Marcovechio on June 18, 1955.   She preceded him in death on June 6, 2003.
He retired in 1995 as a supervisor at International Paper Co. after 43 years of employment.   James was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Wooster Elks and he enjoyed golfing.
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Surviving are his children, Desiree Van Lieu of Jacksonville, Fla, Cindy (Robert) Estes of Tulsa, Okla, Karen William) Gantz and Don (Gretchen) Van Lieu both of Wooster and Tim Van Lieu of Little Rock, Ark, 12 grandchildren and a   brother, Ronald Van Lieu of Conn.
In addition to his wife, James was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Dorothy Fouch and a brother, Ralph Bud Van Lieu.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at St. Mary Cemetery on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Moran officiating.
