WOOSTER “ Doris E. Massaro, 80, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born January 1, 1935 in Hockingport, Ohio, the daughter of David M. and Lovetha M. McPeek Ice.   She married John œBen  Massaro on January 27, 1954.   He survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.   Doris was called the œsunshine lady  for her words of encouragement through cards and letters.   She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, enjoyed walking at the Gault Recreation Center and downtown.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Michelle Massaro, Lynn Marie Rapo and Antonio Massaro all of Wooster; grandchildren, Dante Poirier, Darla, Jacki, Nicholas and Tori Massaro, a great-grandchild, Asharia Irby and a sister Florence C. Little of Zanesville.   Also, many loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Gail Ice, Wanda Woomer, Ethel Armstrong and Grant Ice.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 6-8:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 5:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with the Rev. Joseph Seebauer as the celebrant.   Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
