WOOSTER – Margaret (Peg) L. Buth, 93, of Wooster, died July 26th.
Born July 6, 1922, in Dorking, England, to W.F. and Edith Mays, she studied English literature at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.   During World War 2, after serving in the Womens ™ Land Army, she was recruited to work for the Government Codes and Ciphers School at Bletchley Park.
After the war she worked as a journalist until her marriage to Wayne Buth in Casselton, N.D. Peg was involved in The League of Women Voters, Wayne County Board of Elections, Thursday Club, Wooster Symphony Orchestra Auxiliary, Wayne County Herb Society, Wooster YMCA, and People to People.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane (James) Todd, 5275 Millbrook Rd., Wooster; grandchildren Jessica (John) Burba, Marietta, GA; Jay (Emily) Todd, Santa Monica, CA; and Jenny Todd, Troy, NY; brother-in-law Alan (Penny) Johnson; nieces Paulette and Pamela Neshiem, Sandra Crowther, Mary Lorenzini, Ann Heaps, Jill Osborne, and nephew Peter Johnson.
Her husband died in 2002, a sister Bobbie Johnson in 1993, and brother Peter Mays in 1994.
There will be no calling hours or services.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. is assisting the family.
