APPLE CREEK “ William Dale Thomas, 82, faithful husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather passed away quietly on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at his home.
The son of William D. and Ina (Hickman) Thomas, Bill was born March 15, 1933 in Beallsville, Ohio.   He and wife Wanda were married 59 years and raised 4 loving children, Kurt and David (Tracy) Thomas, Sherry (Mark) Bowling and Julie (Kindell) Huffman.
Bill was an honorable man of faith, a proud patriot and a U.S. Army Veteran.   He flew the American Flag daily and was equally honored to see several of his 7 grandchildren (and their spouses) serve our country.   He loved spending time with family, friends from near and far and enjoyed visits from his 9 great-grandchildren.   He loved to eat good food, tell a good story, read a good book and watch John Hagee.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1st at West Hill Baptist Church, 2241 Mechanicsburg Road, Wooster, Ohio.   Calling hours will be held from 1-3:00 p.m. immediately before the funeral.   His final resting place will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
