WOOSTER – Ann Carolyn Pinkley, 81, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born November 14, 1933 in Moreland, the daughter of Kenneth and Nellie Lucas Wirt.   She married Norman C. Pinkley on August 26, 1952.   He preceded her in death on February 14, 2001.
Ann was a graduate of Wooster High School and the Wooster Business College.   She retired as a secretary from the Wooster Brush Co. after 20 years and as a bus driver/aide from the Ida Sue School with 23 years of service.   She was a member of the Central Christian Church and had taught Sunday school for over 20 years, volunteered at the Red Cross where she taught swimming lessons for many years and she enjoyed visiting the ocean, spending time at the cabin, working puzzles and spending time with friends and spoiling her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen (John) Graham of Dalton and a son, Steven (Jane) Pinkley of W. Salem, grandchildren, Robert (Carolyn) Graham, Jennifer (Chad) Curtis, Matthew Pinkley and Joshua Pinkley; great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Noah, Carly, Cara and Cassidy;   sister,   Lynn (Chet) Six and a brother, Kenneth (Cheryl) Wirt.   Also survived by many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Dawn Pinkley Labosco.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Flo Sprague and Joan Finley.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 2 hours prior to the 12:00 noon service on Saturday, August 8, 2014 with the Rev. Brent Durham officiating.   Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
