WOOSTER “ Genevieve œGene  Borsos, 87, passed away on September 9, 2015 at Brookdale Place of Wooster.
Genevieve was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on September 19, 1927 to Clotilda and Francis Szczepanski.   She was the fourth of their seven children.   Her family moved to Barberton, Ohio in 1932 when Genevieve was five years old.   After graduation from Barberton High School, she worked as a secretary for Seiberling Latex Products.   On October 11, 1947 she married George Borsos.   Together they raised five children.   Genevieve was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest child went to school.   Then she went back to work as a secretary for the city of Barberton until she retired.
Genevieve kept busy in her retirement visiting her children and eight grandchildren, learning to play the dulcimer, volunteering at Barberton Citizens ™ Hospital, traveling with friends, taking yoga, and being involved with her church, Prince of Peace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Louis Borsos, a granddaughter Nicole Lytle and her siblings, Frank Szczepanski, Helen Szczepanski, Betty Harbor, Mary Shuttleworth, Anne Martinus and Jenny Carr.
She is survived by a daughter, Georgene (James) Lytle and four sons, Charles (Carol) Borsos, Eric Borsos, Mark (Kathy) Borsos and John (Clare) Borsos; grandchildren, Matthew Lytle, Ashley Lytle, Alex Borsos, Paige Borsos, Samantha Borsos, Elizabeth (Borsos) Katsuleres, Charles Borsos and Anna Borsos; great-grandchildren, Reagan Lytle and Joseph Katsuleres and 21 nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the caring staff of Brookdale Place of Wooster, Dr. David Reynolds and LifeCare Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Church, 1263 Shannon Ave. in Barberton/Norton.   Friends may call an hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Borsos/Katsuleres Benevolent Fund.   Joseph Katsuleres, Genevieve ™s great-grandson, was born in May with severe heart defects and other issues related to heterotaxy syndrome.   The fund will be used to help the family with loss of wages and other uncovered expenses.   Joseph has had two open-heart surgeries since birth in May and he will have to undergo at least two more surgeries.   Checks made out to the Borsos/Katsuleres Benevolent Fund can be sent c/o Marcy Richard, 1143 Quinby Ave., Wooster, OH 44691.
