SHREVE “ Rev. William H. Valentine, 83, of Shreve went to be with his heavenly father on Friday, September 18, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
He was born May 18, 1932 in Harrisville, West Virginia the son of Carrie and Frank Valentine.   He then moved to Ohio December 7, 1942.   He moved to Huron, Ohio where he met his wife Vivan Oney of Milan, Ohio.   They were married for 62 years.
He is survived by his wife, 3 sons, Jim of Wooster, Tim of Cloquet, Minnesota and Phillip of Apple Creek and 2 daughters, Debbie (Mike) Wolfe of New London and Barbara (Roy) Miller of Holmesville; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sons, Bill, Loren and Chuck, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 granddaughters, Jessica and Shelli and his beloved in-laws Estel and Lucille Oney.
He attended college in Cleveland, Tennessee at the age of 28 where he received his ministerial education.   He is a retired ordained minister of the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee.   He pastored churches in Norwalk, Ohio, Lodi, Chippewa Lake and Wooster.   He was also a Chaplin for Horn Nursing Home for 29 years, Smithville Western for 6 years and Baltic Nursing Home for 3-1/2 years.
He enjoyed traveling with his wife, to Turkey and Isreal, all around the United States and Canada, gardening and lawn work ”even washing windows and spoiling all of his grandchildren, especially his great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 2-5:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at the Mt. Zion Church of God, 837 S. Geyers Chapel Rd., Wooster with the Rev ™s. Tom Geissinger, Sam Studer and Gene Paul officiating.   Burial will be in the Milan Cemetery, Milan, Ohio
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
