WOOSTER – Vera Ellen SNOW, 90, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at West View Healthy Living in Wooster.
She was born October 19, 1924 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the daughter of Robert and  Maggie Mae  Leist Hackler. She married Howard Alvin Snow on December 9, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Vera was a homemaker and a member of the Burbank Road Church of Christ. She loved gardening, collecting owls and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Joyce (Roy) Ludy of Malvern, Mary (Sam) Houmard of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Alvin (Sandra) Snow of Wooster, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister, Bobbie Dunn of Vicksburg, Mississippi, half brother, Lonnie Dixon of Missouri and a half sister, Martha Boone of Vicksburg, Missippi.
In addition to her husband, Vera was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Maurice Dixon, a daughter, Dottie Curie, 2 great-grandchildren, a sister, Doris Williams, a brother, Albert Hackler and a half-brother, James Dixon.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 12:00 Noon service on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating. Interment will follow in the Reedsburg Cemetery. OH.
