WOOSTER – Veronica A. Howell, 79, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster, Ohio, USA.
She was born June 6, 1936 in Warrington, Lancashire, England the daughter of George Sr. and Minnie Ivy (White) Cullen. She married Eugene Howell on August 4, 1956. He survives.
Veronica attended Our Lady Catholic Primary School in Latchford, England and Oak Wood Technical County Girls’ School in Warrington, England. She was a shorthand typist for British Wedge Wire and The Air Ministry RAF Burtonwood. Veronica was an avid member of St. Mary Catholic Church, a seamstress and very proud of her Pittman Shorthand skills.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Eugene Jr. (Elizabeth) Howell, Susan (William) Kirkwood and Michelle D. Galehouse all of Wooster and Julie Ann Howell of Smithville; grandchildren, Lindsey A. (Josh) Conrad, Jennifer K. (Corey) Burch, James E. Howell, Peter Cullen Galehouse, Joseph Andrew Galehouse and Michael Francis Galehouse; great-grandchildren, Makena, Adelyn and Sawyer Conrad and Riley Burch; her siblings, Maureen Bramhall of Warrington, England, Georgina Ina Hulse and George Podge (Lesley)Cullen, Jr. both of Thelwall, England. A brother-in-law, Donald Edwards of Old Buckenham, Norfolk, England.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Yvonne Marie Edwards, Teresa Cullen and Andrea Cullen.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with the Rev. Stephen Moran as Celebrant.   Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
