WOOSTER – Steve CHIZMADIA, 92, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Wayne Co. Care Center in Wooster.
He was born December 9, 1922 in Wooster, the son of Stephen and Emma Kerozy Chizmadia. He married Nellie Franks on July 1, 1946. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2001.
He retired from the Timken Company after 35 years of employment. He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ. Steve enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a member of the American Legion Post 68 of Wooster and proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII.
Surviving are sons, Stephen E. (Denise) Chizmadia of Shreve, and Robert A. Chizmadia of Wooster; grandchildren, Kyle and Kaitlynn Clark and 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Emma Merril, Julia Rowe, Rose Warner, John and Lewis Chizmadia.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. service on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev. Dr. Kevan Franklin officiating. Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery.
