Carole J. Lemmon, 74, of Wooster died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her home.
She was born October 12, 1941 in Medina to George and Desi Britton Simon.   She married John Lemmon, who preceded her in death in 1995.
Carole worked as a nurse at Apple Creek Development Center and loved arts and crafts.   She also sang and played music around Wooster for many years.   She is a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Carole is survived by her children William œBill  (Bonnie) Lemmon of Wooster, Bonnie (Jeff) Cook of Wadsworth, Sandy Sigler of Shreve, Carol Ann Pittman of Wooster, Betty Persinger and Linda (Robert) Murphy both of Orrville; 18 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and a sister Georgiana (Homer) Lake of FL.
Along with her husband, Carole was preceded in death by her parents, a son Bob Lemmon; sister Kathy Edwards and sons in law Gary Pittman and Ed Persinger.
A celebration of Carole ™s life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 3:33 PM at the family residence.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
Contributions may be directed to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for their care of Carole.
