Marita M. Maxwell, 75, of Wooster died Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Wooster Community Hospital.  
She was born July 2, 1940 in  West Mansfield, Ohio,  to Horace G. and Anne T. Schulhan Swysgood.   On March 18, 1966 she married Larry Maxwell, who survives.
Marita had worked as a secretary for Wooster Motor Ways and had worked at Rubbermaid.   She was a graduate of Northwestern High School in 1958.   Marita was a member of the Wooster Emblem Club #374, Wooster Women ™s Bowling Association, where she was past president and volunteered for local veteran ™s organizations.
Along with her husband, Marita is survived by her children Liz (Richard) Miller of Wooster and Cheryl Maxwell-Tieche of Garrettsville; grandchildren Richard Miller Jr., Michael Miller, Jenny Miller, Deana Frederick and Emily Tieche; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Charles G. (Dorothy) Swysgood of Ocala, FL, several nieces and nephews and her beloved pet, Tasha.
Marita was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jerrold T. and Timothy Swysgood.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 1:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster with Pastor Paul Bartholomew officiating.   Private family burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.   Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM with an Emblem Club service starting at 5:30 PM.
