WOOSTER – Catharine A. Milham, 97, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Wooster.
She was born August 6, 1918 in Orrville, the daughter of Joseph P. and Elizabeth Conrad Liechty.   She married Harold C. Milham on August 15, 1941.   He preceded her in death in 1971.
She was a graduate of Orrville High School, attended the College of Wooster and Wooster Business College.   Catharine was employed as an administrative assistant and secretary of Central Christian Church and retired after 60 years on January 3, 1998.   She also worked part-time at the former Wm. Annat Co. for over 40 years.   She had been a member of Central Christian Church since 1935.
She was past president of Christian Women’s Fellowship of the church, also past president of Wooster Area Church Women United, member of International Commission of CWF of Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), district secretary of CWF, treasurer and financial secretary of the church, formerly a Bible School teacher in the youth department and a teacher of the Open Circle Class, youth sponsor for a number of years.   She was named administrative assistant emeritus upon her retirement and a life elder of the church.   She was listed in Who’s Who in American Women.
She was the last of her family.
Catharine was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the services at the Central Christian Church, 407 N. Market St., Wooster on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating.   Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is handling arrangements.
