BIG PRAIRIE – George T WILLISMAN, 63, of Big Prairie, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born December 8, 1952 in Streeter, IL, the son of George T and Lucille Clark Willisman. He married Laura G. Otto on April 26, 1983. She survives.
He had worked for Wooster Iron & Metal and was a driver for the Amish. He was a member of the Creston Community Church.
He enjoyed playing music, especially guitars and drums, spending time with his wife and family, fishing, horseshoes, baseball, basketball and traveling. He proudly served his country with the US Army.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his step-children, Michelle Rubb, William Watson, Jr., Jerry Watson and, April Lynn Watson; step-grandchildren, Walter, Kayanna and Lillianna; his siblings, Linda (Robert) Zimmerly, Debra Ryan, Marcia Wilsman, Donna (Kenny) Flickinger, Lisa (Matthew) White, Delbert (Kathy) Hurt, and Ronnie (Rose) Hurt.
Nieces and nephews, Wayne (Teresa) Wilson, Robert (Bobbie) Hurt, Ruby (John) LeeMasters, Leona Hill, Dana Butler, Dallas (Della) Wilson, Gwen (Chad) Poling, Babs Waterson, Steven Cosby, Andrew and Benjamin Weary, Danielle and Derrick Hoffacker, Deanna and Ralph Smith, Kenneth Flicking, Jr., Marty Flickinger, Lucille and Robert Edwards, Mike and Elizabeth Graham, Harold Graham, James Graham, Tiffany and Mathew White, Jonas White and Matthew White, Jr. and many great nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law Robert Hurt, Sr., and nephews Mark and Willy Hurt.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at Creston Community Church, 111 Sterling Street, Creston, on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor Josh Chaffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery, Wooster.
Those who wish may make contributions to the funeral home to help with expenses.
