WOOSTER – Louella M. DAWSON, 81, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at her home.
She was born March 12, 1935 in Holmes County, the daughter of W. H. and Esther M. Darr Hiller and was a 1953 graduate of Shreve High School. She married H. Stanley Dawson on October 4, 1953. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2011 after 57 years of marriage.
She worked full-time at the Wooster Auto Club and later worked part-time at Webb’s Appliance Center and Barney Lehman’s Clothing Store.
She had several interests, including NASCAR, the Pittsburgh Steelers and country music. Her dog, Millie, was her special companion for nearly 16 years.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, three grandchildren and several other relatives.
Lou was a private person and in keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
