Don A Brant, 83 of Orrville, OH died peacefully May 5, 2016 at Brenn-Field NursingCenter where he was cared for with the assistance of life Care Hospice for a shortperiod following declining health.
He was born October 14, 1932 to Clarence W. and Grace L Brant and married Esther E.Shamp June 13, 1951. She died October 26, 2010. He attended Smithville Schools andwas a member of Smithville Brethren Church. He was also a member of the K of PLodge. He worked for Musser Potato Farm then at Smith Dairy where he retired after30 years.
He enjoyed restoring cars, bowling, golfing, playing cards and their dog Callie.After retiring he & Esther lived in St. Petersburg, Florida where they enjoyed familyvisits and their friends. He moved to Orrville November, 2015 to be near family.
Surviving are his daughters, Patti (Denny) Blough of Orrville and Margie (Dick) Norris ofSmithville, grandchildren, Chris (Tanya) Blough of Ashland, Brian (Jillian) Blough of NewRochelle, NY, Andrew Blough of Wooster, Steve Norris of Smithville and Sara (Pete)Miley of Smithville, great-grandchildren, Caedon, Broden and Greyson Blough, Iyla &Holden Blough, Molly Norris and Olivia and Max Miley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther, his parents, brother, Ray Brant of Florida,sisters, Ida Mae Mosier of Smithville and Nita Kain of Orrville.
Private family services will be held.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
