WOOSTER “ Edith P. Shingleton, 72, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at her home.
She was born October 7, 1943 in Northfield, the daughter of Homer and Laura Jane Smith Malone.   She married Charles Shingleton on August 20, 1986.   He survives.She was a homemaker and had worked at several different factories over the years.   Edith enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.  
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Donna (Karl) Conaway of Apple Creek, Deborah Stutler of Houston, Texas and Ginny (Ron) Brammer of Wooster; grandchildren, Nathan (Katie) Conaway, Derik Conaway, Jessica (Steve) Shepard and Stetson Brammer all of Wooster, great-grandchildren, Austin Bowman, Landen, Jayda and Kendall Conaway and Roslyn Shepard and her siblings, Bessie Rick of New Castle, Pennsylvania, Roy Malone of New Matamoras, Ohio, Margie Mickel of Northfield and Junior Malone of Ravenna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Don Stutler in 1975,  a brother Danny Malone and a sister Opal Malone.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. service at the McIntire, Braham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 with the Rev. Dan Bishop officiating.   Burial will be on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Maple Lane Cemetery in Hebron, West Virginia.
