WOOSTER “ Leslie A. Miller, 68, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Wooster Community Hospital after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer.
He was born January 22, 1948 in Wooster, the son of Cletus J. and Ruth Spade Miller.   He married Ramonda œBugsy  Mackey on March 9, 1979.   She survives.
He had owned and operated Bowman St. Sohio in Wooster for many years, was the owner of Miller ™s Restaurant (formerly Moore ™s Coffee Shop & Bakery), and was the owner of Miller Marine in Shreve (formerly Bauer Marine of Lakeville).
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Brian (Lara) Miller of Concord, North Carolina, Kim (Ryan) Merckle and Jamie Miller both of Wooster; grandchildren, Levi, Colby, Peyton, Davin and Kinsley, a brother, Roger (Jenifer) Miller of Wooster and a special uncle, Wilbur Spade.
Les loved fishing, hunting, splitting wood and mushroom hunting.   He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.   Just a few weeks ago, he was able to enjoy his last fishing trip on Lake Erie with family and friends.
He was a passionate and loyal friend who was always ready to help anyone in need.   He was a member of the Fredericksburg American Legion Post 651.
Friends will be received at the West Hill Baptist Church, 2241 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 6-8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with Revs. Dan Wingate and Mark Davenport officiating.   Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wooster Township Fire Dept., 1917 Millersburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
