WOOSTER Janet Marie Marcum, 76, of Wooster passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 at her home.
She was born February 23, 1940 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Emory Preston and Elizabeth Jean Longaberger Ward. She married Howard William Marcum on July 30, 1956. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2009.
She was the owner of Janet s Upholstery Plus. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, craft s and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians and the Cavs.
Janet is survived by her children, Belinda (Ron) Messner of Wooster, Howard Sonny (Pamela) Marcum, of Wooster, Keith (Janelle) Marcum of Shreve, Kelly (Leslie) Marcum of Shreve, Lisa (Larue Zuercher) McDowell of Wooster; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Carl and Laurence Ward.
Friends will be received on Friday, July 15, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Funeral services will be held following the calling hours with the Rev. Tom Benter officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
