WOOSTER “ Marjorie E. Silver, 90, of Wooster passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born June 3, 1926 in Wooster, the daughter of Walter F. and Grace Showalter Weigley.   She married Richard Silver on October 23, 1948.   He survives.
She was a 1944 graduate of Creston High School and had been the bookkeeper for W. F. Weigley and had previously worked for Wooster City Schools as secretary to the Cafeteria Director.   Marjorie was a member of the Oak Chapel United Methodist Church and the West View Healthy Living Auxiliary.   She loved sewing, quilting and crafts.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Diane (Tim) Rutt of Apple Creek and Beverly (Steve) Fultz of Sterling; a grandson, Curtis (Hallie) Rutt of Strausburg and a brother-in-law, Thomas E. (Evelyn) Silver of Wooster and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Donna J. Beltz.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 12:00 noon service on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev ™s John McClaughlin and Christopher Statz officiating.   Burial will follow in the Chippewa Church Cemetery.
