WOOSTER “ James Pagniano, 68, of Wooster passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
He was born July 11, 1948 in Wooster, the son of Angelo and Anna Smolen Pagniano.   He married Kathryn Glenn Howard on April 1, 2004.   She survives.  
He had worked at Rubbermaid for 33 years retiring in 2000.   James had played on various softball leagues, was an avid sports fan, especially OSU sports, and the Cleveland Indians.   He was a history buff, enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, traveling, especially to their winter home in South Texas, where he enjoyed calling bingo and playing cards.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Angela (Craig) Fry of Wooster, James R. (Nellie) Pagniano of Orrville, Devin Pagniano of North Canton and a step daughter, Stacey Eshleman of Rittman; grandchildren, Shea and Kory Hershberger, Aubrey, Maria and Vinny Pagniano; step-grandchildren, Niccie (Justin) Grenert, Karissa Howard, Zachary Eshleman, Collin Wojcik, Andrew Johnson, Jonathon Skelly, Alauna Mellott, Nathan and Austin Warrick and Cassey Fry and a sister, Eleanor Higgs of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Edward Pagniano.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the funeral home with the Rev. Stephen Moran officiating.   Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
