WOOSTER – Nina L PATTERSON, 92, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born July 17, 1924 in Portland, Tennessee, the daughter of Henry K and Marguerite Davis Ray. She married Willis Patterson on October 12, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1996.
She was a homemaker and a bridal consultant with her sister at the Bridal Gallery. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, past president of the Wooster Women’s Service League, member of the Colony Club, Boys Village, Director of Volunteers at Wooster Community Hospital and a member of the Travelers Club.
Surviving are her children, Patricia (William) Gott of Westerville, Kent W. (Patricia) Patterson of Westfield Center, Susan R Jones and Stephen (Ethel) Patterson both of Wooster; grandchildren, Shelley L. Patterson, Jennifer A. Jones, Stephen D. Jones, John D Jack Jones, Karen L. Palmer, Ann M. Patterson, Stephanie Patterson, David Patterson and Michael Patterson; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sally Pickens of Wooster.
In addition to her husband, Nina was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Douglas P. Gott and siblings, Virginia Ray, David Ray, Robert Ray, Kenneth Ray and Henry K. Ray, Jr.
Friends will be received at the at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 2 hours prior to the 1:00 p.m. memorial service on Monday, August 22, 2016 with the Rev. Joseph Seebauer officiating. Burial will be in the Apple Creek Cemetery.
