SPARKS, NEVADA “ Betty A. Wintersteen, 83, of Sparks, Nevada and formerly of Wooster passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 with her family by her side.
She was born April 4, 1933 in Chicago, the daughter of Hugh and Elizabeth Roman Sherrick.   She married Nevin P. Wintersteen on May 13, 1951.   He preceded her in death on June 19, 1991.
She had been employed by the Airport Police as a secretary in Reno, Nevada for 8 years.   Betty was active in various churches and volunteered at Northern Nevada Medical Center.
She is survived by her children, Barbara (Richard) Landis of Wooster and Curtis P. (Dorothy) Wintersteen of Sparks, Nevada; 5 grandsons, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Carol (John F.) Ladrach of Wooster.
There will be no calling hours and private family services will be held.
