Joseph Richard McCullough, 88, of Wooster passed away Thursday November 10, 2016 at Akron Summa Hospital.
He was born November 15, 1927 in Kenton, Ohio the son of James and Ruth Marmon McCullough.   On Sept. 21, 1963 he married Carol Chenot, who survives.
Joe was a graduate of Kenton High School. He received an Associates Degree from Bliss College and had attended the University of Akron.   He was employed by American Electric Power for 38 years retiring in 1990 as an Area Manager in Wooster.
Joe was a member of the Wooster United Methodist Church and was a long time member of the church choir.   He was a 32nd degree mason and was a member of Wooster Blue Lodge, Chapter, Council and Commandry of The Masonic Bodies.   He was also a member of the Wooster Elks.
Joe enjoyed serving his community through his church and civic organizations.
Along with his wife Carol, he is survived by three children: Scott McCullough of Wooster, Todd McCullough of Wesley Chapel, Florida and Susan McCullough of Westerville. Two Grandchildren: Sara Marie McCullough and Emily K. McCullough.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: James, John, Justin and Jason McCullough and a sister Janice Fox.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster, Ohio 44691 with Rev. Charles Tobias officiating.   Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.   There will be no calling hours.
