WOOSTER “ Therese E. McCoy, 90, of Wooster passed away at West View Healthy Living on Sunday, January 22, 2017.
She was born June 24, 1926 in Sandyville, Ohio, the daughter of Louis and Louisa Baer Soehnlen.   She married H. Ronald McCoy in June of 1952.   He preceded her in death on May 27, 2004.
She was a 1944 graduate of Brewster High School and a 1949 graduate of St. Thomas School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.   She was a registered nurse for over 40 years including 23 years at West View Manor.  Over the years, Therese was often called upon by family, friends and neighbors to provide private care nursing.  Therese was an avid reader, loved art, classical music and family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Margaret (Paul) Heban of Columbus, Allison (John) Manson of Columbus, Ronald T. (Phyllis) McCoy of Burbank, John P. McCoy of Millersburg and Carl (Denise) McCoy of W. Salem; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and many, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Marian McCoy in 1957, a grandchild and 15 siblings.

Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 5:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Avenue, Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran as the celebrant.   Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
