MILLERSBURG “ Edward Raymond Zebrak, Sr., 80, of Millersburg passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Strongsville.
He was born August 31, 1936 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, the son of Valentine Joseph and Mary Schultz Zebrak.   He married his first wife of 54 years, Verona Heizelman, in 1957, she preceded him in death in 2011.   He then married Celia Zarko in 2013.   She survives.
He had been a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.   He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he sang in the church choir and was a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus.   He was also a member of the USPA, Polka Convention and the Cleveland Polka Assoc.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955 “ 1959.
In addition to his wife, Celia, he is survived by his children, DeEtte (Donald) Jones, Elizabeth (Richard) Porter, Susan (James) Dosztal, Edward (Colleen) Zebrak, Jr., Teresa (Dean) Hunt, Michael (Francesca) Zebrak, and Joseph (Rebecca) Zebrak; step-children, Barbara Gibbons and Robert (Amy) Latawiec; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Joseph) Kau and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded by his parents, a step-son, 7 sisters and 2 brothers
Friends will be received on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 4-8:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with the Rev. Stephen Moran as the celebrant.   Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
