APPLE CREEK “ Dorothy Mariah Ganger Tarver, 93, of Apple Creek passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
She was born June 15, 1923 in Myrtle, Mississippi, the daughter of Elmer C. and Lena Gullett Ganger.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking.   She loved having family and friends visit.   Dorothy kept an immaculate home and was always found to be warm and inviting when guests showed up.   She was an accomplished seamstress and an avid reader.   She loved family.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy A. (Dennis) Amily of Apple Creek; step-sons, Robert Tarver and Steve (Joyce) Tarver of Illinois, a step-daughter, Donna (Bill) Phillips of Illinois and a step-daughter-in-law, Eileen Tarver of Illinois; grandchildren, Thomas (Patti) Ball of California, Lisa (Robert) Putt of Florida and Leslie (Greg) Brooks of Michigan; great-grandchildren, Kristin and Katie Higgs of Michigan and Richard Terrones of California; a sister, Ida (Ansil) O ™Connor; nephews and nieces, David (Margee) Leslie, Paul Deanie) Leslie, James (Sandy) Leslie, David (Teresa) Ganger, Bobby Ganger, Kenneth Ganger, Linda Lewis and many more nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, J.C. Hartsfield, a granddaughter, Robin Ann Young in 2014, a step-son, Hal Tarver and three siblings.
There will be no calling hours or services.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
