œTogether Again
George R. Taylor, 87, of Wooster went home on June 2, 2017.
George was the oldest son born to the late Pearl Fess and Enid (Schroyer) Taylor on July 11, 1929 in Sidney, Ohio
He served his country with the Air Force 1947-1950, during the Korean Conflict and upon returning home, married Barbara Watercutter on October 14, 1950, and they shared 65 years together, before her passing July 6, 2016.
In his younger years, George enjoyed coaching his sons baseball teams and was an exceptional bowler.   Later, he set out for a career in sales and was a Carbide Tooling salesman for several companies, then retiring, a sales manager for the J.M Huber Oil Well Supply Company.
Anyone who knew George, knew that he loved to talk.   He kept himself well versed on current events and read everything he could.   He enjoyed telling stories of his childhood and how things were œback then .   Family gatherings would always have time talking about his childhood and the œorneriness of him and his younger brother Rusty, who preceded him in death in 2015.
Dad always seemed to be a œGruff person.   However, anyone who knew him, knew that had a big heart and would do anything for anybody.   He held a special place in his heart for his family and loved them all, in very special individual ways.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Thomas (Connie) of Orrville, Denise (Michael) Dhayer of Wooster and Deanna (Olen) Schlabach of Shreve; grandchildren Dori (Nathan) Eggan, Dustin (Kristin) Taylor, Tara Figura, Alex (Nicole Trogdon) Dhayer, Corey (Tiffany) Schlabach, Noel (Eddie) Schafrath, Mariah Schlabach, Gavin Schlabach, Kevin (Andrea) Merkle and Shaun Phillips; great grandchildren Abigail, Elizabeth, Matthew, Luke, Aden, Jaxson, Morgan, Logan, Alyssa, Gavin and was looking forward to two new additions and a sister Margaret (Ralph) Schemmel of Sidney.
Along with his wife and brother, he was preceded in death by a son Richard in 2015 as well as 4 half-brothers and 2 half-sisters.
There is no greater love than that of a husband and wife and now, Mom and Dad are together again.
