Wooster – Carl E. Andy Anderson, 82, of Wooster, passed away Saturday December 9, 2017 at Smithville Western Care Center.
He was born August 16, 1935 in Barberton, Ohio, the son of Edgar and Florence Fanning Anderson. He married Mary Schaffter Clark on March 2, 1991.
Carl retired as a Railroad Conductor in Akron after 32 years. He loved working in his mancave , watching sports, especially the Indians, Browns, Cavs and Buckeyes. And he always enjoyed talking about Railroading. He served in the US Air Force-Air Police and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. Carl was member of the Moreland United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Dana Dane (Wendy) Anderson of Whitney, Texas, step-children Shelly (Randy) Corbin of Uniontown, Jill (Greg McKee) Genet of Doylestown, Tim (Carol) Clark of North Lawrence, grandchildren Lindsey, Kyle, Joshua, step-grandchildren, Matthew, Alex, Chelsea, Clark, Connor, Gracyn, and 2 great grandchildren, Caden and Leighton. He was survived by a brother, Clifford (Marie) Anderson of Orrville, brothers in-law Neil Spice of Wadsworth, George Bud (Ruth) Schaffter of Sandusky, sisters-in-law Gwen Arnold of Rittman and Merita Schaffter of Orrville. He was preceded in death by sisters, Evelyn, Cathy and Donna and a brother-in-law, George.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, Ohio on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 6-8:00 pm.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 14, 2017 at 1:30 pm at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd. Seville, Ohio 44273.
