Helen Pauline Wetz, 98, of Wooster died Friday, February 23, 2018 at Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born December 1, 1919 in Killbuck to L.F. œTodd  and Mabel Korns VanSickle.   In 1941, she married Russell D. Wetz.   He preceded her in death in 1979.
Helen was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was in the Augsburg Society.   She had been a Food Service Supervisor at the College of Wooster for over 16 years.   Helen enjoyed cooking, traveling, attending the fair, working puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.
Helen is survived by her sons Russell of Zanesville, Carl (Elaine) of Wooster, Phillip (Linda) of Upper Arlington, and Joseph (Linda) of Annapolis, MD; daughter-in-law Ruth Wetz of Apple Creek; 10 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law Annabelle VanSickle of Wooster and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her parents, a son Larry; daughter-in-law Joanne Wetz; sisters Dorothy Purdy, Geraldine Didinger, Beulah Kaser and Marjorie Mitten and brothers Delon, Glenn, Willis, Wilford, Raymond and Leland VanSickle.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 301 N. Market St., Wooster with Rev. Ann Paynter officiating.   Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
