WOOSTER Catherine Arlene Martin, 97, of Wooster passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Wayne Co. Care Center.
She was born July 27, 1921 in Lodi, the daughter of Leroy and Jennie Yergin Daugherty.
She was a homemaker and a domestic saint . Catherine was a long-time member of the Wooster Baptist Temple who enjoyed her family, embroidery, search word puzzles, The Price is Right and Family Feud.
Surviving are her children, Charles (Viola) Martin of Dresden, Roger (Pam) Martin of Wooster, Howard (Judy) Martin of Apple Creek, Helen Marton of Wooster, Kathi (Bill) Ice of Apple Creek, Art (Diana) Martin of Cabot, Ark., Sandy (Dave) Leighty of Big Prairie, Janalynn (Ken Harr) Miller of Wooster, Jeff Martin of Canal Fulton and Judy (Bob Talcott) Delaney of Wooster; 44 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Louise Hagans of Congress.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herbert Goff Martin, children, Dwight Joel Martin, Carol Clark, David Martin, Patsy Moore, Nancy Evans and Janet Martin and grandchildren, Jeff Mellert, Mike Evans, Pam Moore, James Moore and Catherine L. Martin and a brother Howard Daugherty.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Monday, August 20, 2018 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with the Rev. Floyd Koenig officiating. Burial will follow in the Burbank Cemetery.
