WOOSTER “ Steven Foster Flickinger, 69, of Wooster passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
He was born December 31, 1948 in Lodi, the son of Blair Lee and Geraldine Baney Flickinger.   He married Barbara Clair Stroud on November 22, 1997.   She survives.
Steven had worked in Food Service and Maintenance at the College of Wooster retiring in 2008 after 18 years of service.     He was a member of The Connection Church and the American Legion Post 68 of Wooster.
Steven proudly served his country with the US Army during the Vietnam War with the First Calvary earning a Bronze Star.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Barbara, is a step-daughter, Rebekah Lynn (Roy) Myers; step-grandchildren, Rachel, Logan and Shawn and his siblings, Joyce Baldner, Ted Flickinger and Tim Flickinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Roxana Dawson.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Broyles officiating.   Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
