WOOSTER “ Christine A. (Kauffman) Plant, 78, of Wooster was called to her heavenly home after a long fought battle on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
She was born February 12, 1940 in Wooster, the daughter of Russell and Emma Meyer Kauffman.
She had worked as a cook at the Wooster Country Club and the College of Wooster.   Christine was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters.   She enjoyed knitting and making blankets for family and friends.
Surviving are her children, Philip Plant of Wooster, Ralph Plant of England and Margaret Guadagno of Cleveland; grandchildren, Nick, Sarah Beth, Brianne, Kathryn and Bethany; 4 great-grandchildren and a brother Paul Kauffman of Creston who is very much alive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Miles Plant, a daughter, Carol Plant, a grandson, Gregory and her siblings, Cecelia Boldman, Mary Neuffer, John Kauffman, Leona Short, Victoria Kelley, Henry Kauffman and 3 infant siblings, Walter, George and Helen Kauffman.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Rev. Stephen Moran officiating.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
