Joan, you were the daughter that my Mother- Dorothy-Yoder Bupp – never had and she treasured your companionship immensely. You cared for my parents Dorothy and Stanley in their elder years. Your careers spanned being a school teacher at Orville, Ohio, a Sunday School teacher and Superintendent at the Chippewa Church, and a Mother to Jerry. Perhaps your biggest challenge was to be my Brother John’s wife.
And now you have earned your eternal rest. We will all miss you. Brother Jim
I am truly sorry to hear the news of your mother’s passing. Please accept my sincerest condolences. May she rest in peace.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mother. May the love of those around you help you and your family through the days ahead.
Joan gave so freely to the Chippewa Church of the Brethren through her service, leadership and fellowship. She was a Sister to all of us. Her service to the Wayne County Fair brought attention to the importance of nutrition, home cooking, canning and baking as well as needle art. For decades Joan not only judged these art forms but inspired generations to apply them. Joan truly practiced living simply, peacefully and together with all she loved. Her family is in my thought and prayer.
Such sad news to hear of Mrs. Bupp’s passing. She was a wonderful teacher. Many Orrville students have a working knowledge of cooking and sewing because of her. My sympathies to her family.

I am so sad to hear of Joan’s passing. She was a pillar of the Chippewa Church of the Brethren. She ran Vacation Bible School with 100 plus children effortlessly. I was one of those children, and we all benefitted by her care and expertise. My sincere condolences to the family.
Sorry to hear she passed. She was an inspirational leader and educator. Prayers to you all.
Remembering our friend, neighbor and church leader, Joan. May she rest peacefully in God’s embrace.
Memories of Joan are certainly interwoven with Chippewa Church. She was a capable, faithful and warm leader. I have many fond memories of youth activities at the church. Joan was an asset as an educator, neighbor, church leader and friend. My sincere condolences to the family.

So sorry for your loss. Never easy losing a parent
Jerry,
So sorry for your loss. It’s never easy losing our parents. May God bring you comfort and peace beyond understanding. Two of my favorite things Aunt Joan made were pickles and french toast, but not together. Lol. They were the best! She was such a sweet lady!
Rest in peace! Maybe she will meet my Cody up in Heaven.
Love, Michele Clarke (Bupp)
