WOOSTER “ Dana P. Taylor, 69, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born May 22, 1949 in Wooster, the son of Paul E. and Ruth Watts Taylor.   He married Linda D. Morris on December 29, 1973.   She preceded him in death on December 11, 2014.
Dana was a 1967 graduate of Wooster High School and had worked as a machinist and set-up man at Wooster Brush for 46 years retiring in 2012.   He was a 50 year member of Central Christian Church.
He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge and American Legion Post #68.   Dana loved hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, photography, NASCAR, and Ohio State Football.
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army as a tank operator stationed in Germany.
Surviving are his children, Tammy (Ken) Botham of Vienna, WV, Misty (Shawn) Baker of Wooster, Morgan (Heath) Shallenberger of Apple Creek and Megan Taylor of Wooster; grandchildren, Hunter Taylor of the home, Brendon Botham of Morgantown, WV, Kortney Shallenberger of Wooster and Jared Shallenberger of Wooster and a great-grandson, Jaxson Tolsma; a sister, Diane (Ross) Shriver; a special cousin, Randy Retherford and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 5:00 p.m. service on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Central Christian Church, 407 N. Market St., Wooster with the Rev. Glen Schory officiating.   Burial will be on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  11. God Bless & comfort you & your family at this time knowing that he is no longer in pain & he has been reunited with his wife & parents in Heaven. AND you’ll see them again when God calls you home one day as well.
