WOOSTER “ Barbara Ann Wachtel, 78, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
She was born October 1, 1940 in Wooster, the daughter of Warren W. and Emma Grisetti Rush.   She married Paul E. Wachtel on February 23, 1963.   He survives.
Barbara was a 1958 graduate of Wooster High School and had worked at Buehler ™s Town Market as the œDemo Lady  for 18 years and previously had worked at Roffler Family Hair Center.   Her life was the love of her family, her cats, flowers and her home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Brad Wachtel and Tammy (Blaine) Miller and her sister, Pamela (Donald) Peterman.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no calling hours and private family services will be held at the convenience of the family.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or to Wayne Co. Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.

  4. Rest in peace Barb. My mom is so sad you’re gone as am I. You where loved by all. To the family sorry for your loss she was a wonderful strong woman. I remember her since I was little giving me food and stuff she would let me take more then one sample makes me smile thinking about it.

  5. I grew up around the corner from the Rush family. Pam was a friend and her parents and older sister were truly nice people. I was also a friend to Don Peterman in the late 1960’s. My deepest sympathies to Pam and Don on their loss of a wonderful sister/sister-in-law. God bless.
