WOOSTER “ Leon F. Buchholz, 93, of Wooster passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at West View Healthy Living.
He was born March 9, 1926 in Wooster the son of Edward and Ottilia Rothacker Buchholz.   He married Evelyn Odenkirk on December 10, 1960.   She survives.
After his time with the US Navy during WWII he went to Plumbing School in St. Louis, Missouri and then worked for Bell Plumbing and Heating and then for Ralph Shamp Plumbing and Heating in Weilersville and then in 1956 he joined the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 94 out of Canton until his retirement.
Leon was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.   He enjoyed going to Sales and Garage Sales and enjoyed watching western movies.
In addition to his wife, Evelyn, he is survived by his brother Bernard (Carolyn) Buchholz and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, William E. Buchholz and Anastasia Flick and a nephew Travis Buchholz.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the service at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rob Moskowitz officiating.   Burial will follow in the Apple Creek Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice and all the nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, especially Donna and Leroy Hart for all their help.

  1. Leon was always a person I looked forward to seeing and talking to while I was working at Westview Healthy Living. I will miss him telling me about the Western movies he was watching that day!! I am so sorry for your loss Evelyn and Family. May God bless all of you.
