Jean E. Adkins, 79, of Wooster died on Friday, October 4, 2019 at The Avenue of Wooster.
She was born April 22, 1940 in Monroe Twp., Holmes County to Lee and Gladys Ruffcorn Connolly.   She married Claron Adkins, who preceded her in death in 1993.
Jean was a homemaker who loved raising dogs, going to dog shows and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her children Larry (Karen), John (Dima) and Doug all of Wooster; grandchildren Kevin Adkins, Ashlie Adkins-McDaniel, Lacey Filkins, Drew Adkins, Kayley Carpenter, Alexander, Andrew, Chase and Aaron Adkins; great-grandchildren Aniston Adkins-McDaniel and Harrison Filkins; siblings Presley Connolly of North Royalton, Dave Connolly of Elyria and Janet Muller of Cold Springs, TX.
Along with her husband, Jean was preceded in death by her parents; a son David Adkins and siblings Robert, Ronald, Harold and Jeannette.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 1:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Dave Purdy officiating.   Interment will follow in Congress Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
