WOOSTER Ida Morgan, 95, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Wayne County Care Center.
She was born August 6, 1924 in Shreve, the daughter of Charles and Emma Gehring Shreve. She married Willis P. Morgan in 1944. He preceded her in death in 1971.
She had worked as a clerk at Mr. Wiggs for 25 years, and had previously helped her husband run Morgan Funeral Home, in Shreve, until 1959. Ida attended North Wooster Baptist Church.
She loved watching the Cleveland Indians and spending time with her family. Ida was a member of the Shreve American Legion Post #67 Auxiliary.
Surviving is her son Stephen (Donna) Morgan of Wooster; grandchild Jared (Faith) Morgan; great-grandchild Nora Fae Morgan.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Connie; grandchildren Jerry and Billie Joe; sisters Juanita Phillips and Mary Metcalf and brothers-in-law Frank Phillips and Cloyd Metcalf.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the past and present staff at the Wayne County Care Center for their care of Ida.
