WOOSTER “ Eleanor A. Franks, 92, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the Avenue in Wooster.
She was born on September 4, 1927 in Millersburg, Ohio to Ethel and Olis Williams. She graduated Millersburg High School.
She spent her career at the Wooster Daily Record, starting as a photographer and retired from the position of business office manager. She was active throughout her life in many service and social activities. She was a member of the Oak Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathy Brown, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, grandson Adam Brown, her sister Doris Stammer of Wooster, niece Diane Zollars and nephews Jim Figley, Dennis Figley, Richard Neil and Gary Neil.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband of 54years, Paul D. Franks.
Friends will be received at Oak Chapel United Methodist Church, 4203 West Old Lincoln Way, Wooster from 1-2:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 with Rev. John Finn officiating.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Oak Chapel United Methodist Church.

  7. Kathy and Doris…Steve Moore informed me of Eleanor’s passing this weekend. Thus, I wanted to send my condolences to both of you as well as all the family. Eleanor was a sweet, sweet woman and I am certain there will be tears and other very tender emotions come to the surface this week. But I also have to believe that there will be far more celebration of what a long and good life she had and that all of you were able to share in so much of it. God bless you all.
