Beverly Anne Bev Lee, 87, of Wooster died on Friday, February 21, 2020 at her home.
She was born March 1, 1932 in Millersbnurg to Ralph and Lucille Purdy Craig. On November 28, 1950, she married Robert E. Lee. He preceded her in death in 2016.
Bev was a teacher for many years. She was a member of Central Christian Church. Bev loved woodworking, traveling, camping, had been a swim instructor and was an excellent seamstress. She loved spending time with her family. She had been a member of the Lion s Club and had volunteered her time with Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her children Julia (Max Farley) Starr of Akron, Marcia Stewart of Ashland, Barbara (Dale Sorchy) Champion, Peg (Doug) Fawcett both of Wooster, Jeff Craig, Tom (Dawn) Lee both of Millersburg and Andy (Patty) Goff of Salt Lake City, UT; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friends and caregivers Chris Fry and Donn Appleman.
Along with her husband, Bev was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother-in-law Barbara (Dr. Harold) Appleman.
A Gathering of Friends will be held on Thursday, February 27 from 4:00-6:00 PM with a Celebration of Life Service following at 6:00 PM at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Inurnment will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
