  4. Joe was my second cousin and my dad’s friend. My mother would often go visit with his mother whenever we were visiting “up on the hill.” I remember Joe was always very nice to me, and he and Jan were at my mother’s funeral and had such kind words to say. I have enjoyed reading about Joe’s WWII days. What a full life he had! He will be missed. Deepest sympathy to his sister Lana and family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I don’t ever remember a time that I did not know Joe. He was a great guy. He was my mom’s best friend for many years.

  6. Dear Joe’s Family, Joe always kind and always glad to see his friends. He held court in his garage because he did not want to smoke his cigars in the house. He had a ring of chairs for friends and neighbors when they stopped by. Joe always knew what was happening on Memory Lane. In later years he did give up the cigars which he loved. We thank Joe for his service to our country during WWII and serving with the 555 Honors team. I know he missed Jan so much. My deepest sympathy to his family. He was brave to the end and now in heaven with his beloved Jan and friends and relatives. Probably holding court surrounded by his many friends. God bless his family. With love, Ruth
