WOOSTER “ Larry Jay Watkins, 75, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at his home.
He was born March 9, 1944 in Listie, Pennsylvania, the son of Leroy and Margaret Miller Watkins.
He was a computer operator and Data Analyst for Ameri Trust in Cleveland and also at Cole National.   He was very tech savy, but practical.   He enjoyed fishing and watching C.S.I.   His children were his most important thing in his life.   He had a strong work ethic and he enjoyed his dogs.
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force serving in Vietnam.
Surviving are his children Rebekah Watkins of Barberton, Sarah Duarte of North Royalton and Michael Watkins of Wooster; a grandson Patrick Duarte; siblings Jeannie LaQuatra and Janet Watkins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Robert Leroy Watkins and a sister Joanne Kindleburger.
Friends will be received on Monday, March 9, 2020 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Wingate officiating.   Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 1:30 p.m.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Wayne Co. Dog Shelter, 5694 Burbank Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.

  1. Many condolences to the Watkins Family. Larry was an amazing man. I crave that one last talk with him, but life unfortunately doesn’t work like that. One day, we will all get that chance.
    Until then, rest easy Larry…..you will be greatly missed!
