WOOSTER “ Roberta Joan Saurers, 71, of Wooster passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Smithville Western Care Center.
She was born September 20, 1948 in Mansfield the daughter of Eugene Richard and Mary Noreene O ™Connell Matuck.   She married Irvin œSonny  Saurers on July 17, 1971.   He survives.
Roberta was a graduate of Waynedale High School and a homemaker.   She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.   She enjoyed attending Wooster High School sporting events with her daughter and was a loving wife, mother and sister.
Surviving in addition to her husband is her daughter Kathariine June Saurers of Wooster, her twin sister Rita Jean Matuck of Wooster and a sister June Ellen Matuck of Apple Creek.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

    We go back 60 years when the Matuck family welcomed my family to Ohio. Our parents were best of friends. Sonny and Kathy our hearts are with you. Sonny, you have always been one of the best things at Wooster High School. Kathy, you are the best of managers for basketball and volleyball. Your wife and mom were always so friendly to me and my family. Kathy, you and your mom were great supporters of my daughter Halle Gallo-Malta in basketball. She loves you. We love you.
